I-4-161 SUMMONS AND THE COMPLAINT DUPLICATION
On a regular basis, a messenger from the OHA mailroom goes to the DHHS Humphrey building to pick up the Secretary's copies of summonses and complaints (see > I-4-110). A shipping list with the names and the jurisdictions of all the cases accompanies the summonses and complaints. The messenger delivers this material directly to the Reprographics Staff.
The Reprographics Staff machine operator makes four copies of each summons and complaint and four copies of the shipping list. The machine operator then sorts the copies into two sets. The first set is for the OGC Answer Section and includes the original and 3 photocopies of the summons and complaint and the shipping list. The machine operator then places an OGC transmittal sheet (see > I-4-169, Exhibit A) on top of these documents and ties them together.
The second set is for OCA and includes one copy of each summons and complaint and one copy of the shipping list. The machine operator places the OCA transmittal sheet (see > I-4-169, Exhibit B) on top of these documents and ties them together. Mailroom personnel pick up the summonses and complaints and deliver them to the OGC Answer Section and the OCA mailroom.
